RRB NTPC Graduate Level Syllabus 2025
(Official Pattern for Level 4, 5 & 6)
Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the NTPC Graduate Level Exam for posts like Station Master, Goods Guard, and Commercial Apprentice. The syllabus is similar to the 12th level but the difficulty level of questions will be higher (Graduation Standard).
Exam Summary
- Posts: SM, Goods Guard, CA, Sr. Clerk
- Levels Covered: Level 4, 5, and 6
- Negative Marking: 1/3 Marks deducted
- Duration: 90 Minutes
Post-Wise Tests
- Station Master: CBT-1 + CBT-2 + CBAT (Psycho)
- Sr. Clerk/Typist: CBT-1 + CBT-2 + Typing Test
- Goods Guard: CBT-1 + CBT-2 + Document Verification
- Commercial Apprentice: CBT-1 + CBT-2 + DV
CBT-1 is screening nature, while marks of CBT-2 are used for final merit.

1. Mathematics (Quantitative Aptitude)
- Number System: Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF.
- Arithmetic: Ratio and Proportions, Percentage, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss.
- Advanced Math: Elementary Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics (Mean, Median, Mode).
- Others: Mensuration (Area/Volume).
2. General Intelligence & Reasoning
- Verbal Reasoning: Analogies, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagrams.
- Analytical Reasoning: Data Sufficiency, Statement- Conclusion, Statement- Courses of Action, Decision Making.
- Non-Verbal: Completion of Number and Alphabetical Series, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Puzzle, Maps, Interpretation of Graphs.
3. General Awareness (Highest Weightage)
- Current Affairs: National and International Importance (Last 6-12 Months).
- General Science: Physics, Chemistry, and Life Sciences (Up to 10th Standard CBSE syllabus).
- History & Culture: History of India and Freedom Struggle, Monuments and Places of India, Art and Culture.
- Geography: Physical, Social and Economic Geography of India and World.
- Polity: Indian Polity and Governance- constitution and political system.
- Computers: Basics of Computers and Computer Applications (Common Abbreviations).
- Tech & Space: General Scientific and Technological Developments (ISRO/DRDO/Nuclear).
- Economy: Indian Economy, Transport Systems, Flora and Fauna, Flagship Govt Programs.
1. CBAT (Psycho Test): Only for Station Master & Traffic Assistant. This test measures your concentration and quick decision-making.
(Qualifying nature, but 30% weightage in final merit).
2. Typing Skill Test (TST): For Sr. Clerk Cum Typist & Jr. Accounts Assistant.
(Speed Required: 30 WPM in English OR 25 WPM in Hindi).
