RRB Technician Syllabus 2025
(Grade 1 Signal & Grade 3)
Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has revised the Technician Exam Pattern. There will be only ONE Single CBT Exam (No CBT-2). The syllabus for Grade 1 (Signal) and Grade 3 is different.
⚡ Major Change: No Trade Test or Part-B exam. Selection will be based on Single CBT Marks only.

For Grade-I Signal (Crucial Topics)
- Basic Science & Engg: Engineering Drawing, Physics (Motion, Work Power Energy, Electricity, Magnetism), Basic Electronics (Digital Electronics, Microcontrollers), Measurements.
- Computer Basics: Architecture of Computers, Input/Output Devices, Storage Devices, Networking, OS, MS Office, Data Representation, Internet & Email, Computer Virus.
- Math: Sets, Rational Numbers, Quadratic Equations, Trigonometry, Geometry, Statistics.
For Grade-III (ITI/12th Level)
- General Science (40 Marks): Physics, Chemistry, and Life Sciences of 10th Standard level (CBSE/NCERT).
(Focus on Light, Electricity, Chemical Reactions, Human Body). - Mathematics: Number System, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM-HCF, Ratio, Percentages, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, SI & CI, Profit & Loss, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry.
- Reasoning: Analogies, Coding-Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Syllogism, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation, Directions.
