The Rail Coach Factory (RCF), located in Kapurthala, Punjab, is one of the premier coach manufacturing units of Indian Railways. Every year, it invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This year, the recruitment drive is for 550 seats across various trades like Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Machinist, etc. The selection will be purely on a Merit Basis (average of 10th + ITI marks), and there will be no written examination or interview.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

Candidates applying for the RCF Kapurthala Apprentice Online Form 2025 must fulfill the following educational and technical qualifications:

• Matriculation (10th Pass): The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board.
• ITI Certification: The candidate must possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or Provisional Certificate issued by NCVT / SCVT.
• Note: Candidates appearing in the final exam or waiting for results are not eligible to apply.

Documents Required for Online Application

• Latest Scanned Passport Size Photograph (not older than 3 months).
• Scanned Signature of the candidate.

Selection Process & Stipend

Mode of Selection

The selection for RCF Kapurthala Apprentice 2025 will be made on the basis of a Merit List prepared by the Railway Recruitment Cell. The merit list will be calculated by taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.

Formula: ( % Marks in 10th + % Marks in ITI ) / 2 = Final Merit Percentage.

Stipend During Training

Selected candidates will be engaged as apprentices and will undergo training for a period of one year. During this training period, they will be paid a stipend as per the rules of the Railway Board / State Government applicable to apprentices.
